From Sunday, 13 December forward, a new schedule for the public bus from Alkmaar station to the school is introduced. Unfortunately the very important ride arriving at 8h50 at school has been accelerated to 8h16. The Parents' Association did the utmost to reverse this change, but could not succeed. Please read this information letter about further details:

Dear Parents/Care takers,

Each year in December, the public transport company Connexxion revises its bus schedules for our  region. Sunday 13 December the new schedule was introduced and we are very sorry to inform you that this time, the bus line from Alkmaar station to the school (606) is also affected.

From Monday, 11 January 2010 on there will no longer be a bus arriving at 08h50 at the school. The arrival time has been brought forward to 08h16. The other bus times in the morning and afternoon remain unchanged.

The final decision about the schedule has only been made a few days ago, because the Parents’  Association has kept pushing to maintain the full schedule that was at our disposal up to now.

To ease the transition, the Parents’  Association is paying for the extra 08h50 ride during the last week before and the first week after the Christmas holiday.

The times above have only been confirmed over the phone and not in writing although we have requested the confirmation several times. Let’s hope they keep their promise!
