We informed you earlier this week about the various projects taking place at the European School Bergen in order to raise funds to rebuild a school in Haïti.

There are many new activities continually being added to the list. One such initiative is happening in P3N. A cookie factory donated boxes of cookies that the children can sell after school to their neighbours and friends. This initiative has the potential to raise 1000 Euros for the cause.
In order to define the role of the parents is the European School’s system, one has to go back into history – and well as far as the founding of the very first European School in 1953 in Luxemburg.
From Sunday, 13 December forward, a new schedule for the public bus from Alkmaar station to the school is introduced. Unfortunately the very important ride arriving at 8h50 at school has been accelerated to 8h16. The Parents' Association did the utmost to reverse this change, but could not succeed. The first meeting of interested parents who wish to organise a table (or those who are just curious to konw what it is all about ) takes place on FRIDAY, 16 October 2009 at 9.15 a.m. in the Aula.
